About

Economic Analysis and Policy Journal is a refereed journal with over half a century of existence. It focuses on all areas of economics and receives submissions from scholars, researchers, academics, and members of the public on topics related to economics.

EAP particularly prefers passionate, controversial, and critical articles that lend a new voice and view to economics and policy debates, and we encourage anyone who has articles that meet these criteria to submit for publications.

Our articles cut across every field of economics and include contributions with relevance to policies, both applied and theoretical. We want to hear about the unorthodox views and approaches to policy and economic issues so if you have an article that approaches an economic issue or policy from a different perspective; we are eager to see it.

We value in-depth research and analysis in all our articles, and we encourage our contributors to do due diligence in this area for their papers to even be considered. The author information contains every requirement and criteria that a potential contributor needs to know before submission so you should check it to see if your articles meet our standards.

The Economic Analysis and Policy Journal has four major categories;

Policy Debates and Controversies

This is the section containing articles that are relevant to policy issues with a focus on economists’ interests. We look out for articles with opposing and radical views on current topics.

Recent Trends in Economic Research

We accept research articles in this section, and all articles must have an economic background or undertone. This is the section where we published core economics articles that might be technical and not easily accessible to anyone outside economics. However, the author should have a nontechnical introduction and conclusion where the article’s main insights will be provided.

Comments and Discussions of Past and Present Contributions to Economics

We use this section as a platform for the critical discussion of current contributions to the field of economics. As such, it contains contributions revalidating econometric articles or discussing the significance of a recent finding in the field. This section also critically appreciates classic contributions to the area. We review economic scholars and original authors to review the application and significance of a classic contribution to modern economics and current issues.

Book Reviews

This section contains reviews of new books in economics and their contribution to the existing literature and their practical application to current economic issues.

Our Editorial Policy

We invite authors to submit their contributions for any of the sections. Such submission can be online or through snail mail. We usually give authors our first decision within 90 days of submission. An independent referee and a member of our editorial board will referee every accepted contribution.
